"I stayed at ARK for 3 weeks and loved every minute of it ! The daily routine consisted in walking the dogs, applying anti-mange lotions on some of them (after 10 minutes of playing "catch me if you can") and tick-removing (which can unexpectedly get very addictive...). The most rewarding part was playing with them at the end of the day when it's cooler and petting the puppies who need so much attention. I also had a great time getting to know the local staff, who were very funny and welcoming. The other volunteers quickly became good friends; with whom I spent memorable evenings, spider-chasing, crossword competing and chatting for hours...The beach was great for dinner, with lots of cheap restaurants (where I developped an addiction to vegetable masalas). To sum up, this was a great experience and I won't soon forget the four-legged, two-legged (and three-legged) friends I've made there !"
