In 2002 Avis Lyons came to India and set up the centre starting out under International Animal Rescue, before becoming Animal Rescue Kerala (ARK)

It now operates on it's own and owing to the success of the clinic now has charitable trust status with the full consent of the Indian Government.

She lived happily at the centre for three years.
Daisy-May became a local celebrity,
she has stared in a couple of cable TV shows about the centre.

Sadly our little star has swapped her wheels for wings & has flown to heaven.

As the centre becomes more widely known, we are called out to injured dogs
from a much wider area. We are also steralising more dogs each month
as well as the ongoing problems of mange and maggot wounds.
