Some people may find the following disturbing
Several dogs have been found at the nearby fishing village of Vizinjam, some having been previously sterilised at the clinic(identified by having had their ears clipped and tattooed.) A couple had been found washed up on the beach with their feet tied together. They had been thrown into the sea and left to drown.
It is likely that they where still alive at the time, which means they will have struggled to stay afloat for hours until they were too exhausted to swim and drowned.

This is not the first time that dogs which have obviously come from the clinic have been brutally attacked. Last summer, in the same area, a dog wearing an official indentification collar was viciously mutilated by an attacker wielding a machete who sliced her ear off. Fortunately, the dog was rescued and brought back to the clinic where her injuries were treated.
