Our centre's main aim is to sterilise street dogs, on average 50 per month,
at the same time we vacinate against 'rabies'
We also take in sick and injured animals, not just dogs, but any animal requiring medical attention
and we take in abandoned puppies and try to rehome all those we can, and put the street dogs back
in the environment that they came from.

recovering well

We steralise both male and female dogs, as this reduces the incidences of fighting between them
which may lead to injuries, and then maggot wound.
These wounds become quickly infected with maggots in the hot Keralan climate.
A maggot wound can kill an animal in days if it does not get medical treatment.

In this climate mange is another serious problem. Many animals require several months of treatment
before they can be released.
